Lianna

Lianna is one of the most versatile and fresh voices of Colombia. A singer, songwriter and pioneer of mixing this genres and styles in her country, she’s found her sound in the cadence of R&B, Soul and Hip-Hop beats. Her inspiration is rooted in elements of Jazz, Neo- soul, funk, Latin American and caribbean music blended in soulful melodies which she transforms into a solid expressive energy. Her voice is filled with a character that shines in the independent music scene and should be heard.

Her begginings in the music scene were when she was only seventeen, recording the first of multiple collaborations with many artists of colombian Hip Hop, her signature sound, her lyrics and style have made her one of the most representative voices, participating in the productions of artists like Big Mancilla, Ali a.k.a Mind, Crudo means raw, Alcolirykoz y Tres coronas among others.

In 2008 Lianna released her first EP as a solo artist entitled ‘Lianna’ produced by Benny B, including four songs that will define the Hip Hop Soul sound that will become a trademark of her career, album that will launch her for the first time into the stage of Hip Hop al Parque Festival in 2009, one of the most important festivals in Latin America for this music scene.

“Paciencia”, her second album was released in 2012, produced by David King and Benny B. From Audiolirica Ent. , the album resumed the process of eight years of musical career, exploring and drawing influences from Jazz, Bossa Nova, Soul, Rockabilly, Hip Hop and Tango. From this album the songs “Para adelante” and “Inspiracion”, reached the number 1 position in many local and national radio stations. With this release she had the chance of participating in Rock AL Parque Festival 2013, touring in diverse independent venues in Mexico, and then opening for British singer and songwriter Joss Stone in Bogota, among other important stages.

In her second album titled “Como el agua”, Lianna delivers a sound full of beats, sam- ples, rhymes and melodies with elements linked to her essence and musical beginnings as an artist together with well-known, talented producers and beat makers of the hip-hop scene in Colombia like El Arkeologo, who has produced most of her songs, Crudo Means Raw and Avenrec and a song produced by herself alongside Euri and D.J.H. Other special features that appear on the album are: Gambeta of Alcolirykoz, N. Harden and Anyone Cualkiera, all prominent MC’s of Colombia.

“Como el agua” is a unique album that conveys Lianna’s personal style in her lyrics and music. Defined by the voice of a woman, it clearly narrates what she represents, her influences, her story and the sounds that inspire her. It is an album that challenges the need for music that is honest and genuine.
