Koyi K Utho

Koyi K Utho was born as a tribute to the pilot of the animated series “Mazinger Z” in Bogota, Colombia dedicated to exploring industrial metal in its different manifestations, while concentrating on the band’s self-made style “cyber core”, all backed by visual art in each of their presentations through body makeup, theatrics, and special effects.

Since 2001, the band has published three records: “Mechanical Human Prototype” (2004), “Vio-Logic” (2007) for the label EMI Music, and “Evilution” (2016), a self-recorded and produced album amid the rush to get a more personal and intimate sound. They have also produced five singles: “EVA” (2001), “Koyi K Utho”” (2002),
“Mechanical Animal”, “Fire on Fire” (2011), “Decode” (2012) and eight videos:
“Personal Jesus” (2004), “Demential State” (2005), “Freakman” (2005), “Experimental Ape” (2007), “Mechanical Animals”, “Fire on Fire” (2011), “Decode” (2012) and “Artificial illness” (2015) In 2016, Koyi K Utho’s “EVILUTION Tour 2016” began hitting several cities in Mexico as well as the United states participating in the “Corona Hell and Heaven 2016” festival and “70000 Tons of Metal” (cruise with 60 of the biggest metal bands in the world).

During the “EVILUTION Tour 2016” Koyi K Utho had the privilege of sharing the stage with major bands like Slipknot, Fear Factory, Marilyn Manson, Sepultura, Rammstein, Cradle of Filth, Monstruosity, Darkest Hour, Samael, At the gates, Molotov, among many others. They have been deemed worthy of many awards on
an international level and have a large presence in the music focused media/public eye.
